FAQs
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be helpful for anyone struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, addiction, relationship difficulties, and various life stressors. Counseling provides a supportive environment for discussing these concerns while helping people build skills and self-knowledge that support their growth and wellness. At Full Life, we believe people from all stages of life can benefit from taking the time to check in with their patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior in support of living an enriching and meaningful life.
What will the first session be like?
Much of the first session will focus on a broader overview of who you are and what brings you to treatment. Your counselor may ask questions about your presenting concerns, relationships, daily habits, moods, substance use, preferences, and goals. The first session is also a chance for you and your counselor to connect and get to know each other!
How do I choose the right counselor?
The right counselor for you is one who makes you feel seen, heard, and accepted while also providing perspective and challenging patterns that may no longer serve you. Our bio pages can give you a better idea of who we are and what kind of work we do. As the relationship is a crucial part of therapeutic work, we encourage our clients to meet with our counselors to determine if they’d be a good fit.
