He enjoys staying current on the technical studies in psychology, eager to transfer this insight into the art of clinical practice.
As a citizen, Hunter has delivered aid work around the world. He has installed wells in West Africa, helped build schools and a medical clinic in Haiti, lived and worked in Mexico and served in a medical clinic in Honduras. AS a result he can provide therapy services to Spanish speaking clients.
In his therapeutic career Hunter has provided intensive home based therapy for families struggling with major mental health issues, and outpatient family, individual, and group therapy services. He has skills as a strengths based psychodynamic psychotherapist who uses aspects of Gestalt, Psychodrama, Parts Work, Coaching, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Structural Family Therapy, along with humor and deep empathy.
