Group Counseling
At Full Life we love therapy groups! We have seen firsthand how life-changing groups can be. A number of us have participated in group work in our own lives, and find it really meaningful. We also have facilitated many different kinds of groups in different settings like in the office, after school, in the wilderness settings, at Summer Camps, and have seen how powerful and life-changing these groups are for the participants. We have a lot of delight in running groups and doing that well.
Thinking about coming into a group can be intimidating. We have a number of skillful facilitators to make sure that everyone is safe and engaged in each group. We do recognize that this can be intimidating but have seen people find healing that can be elusive in one on one therapy.
Some of the reasons a group can be so effective are that you get to see other people doing emotional work and see really intimately into other peoples lives. Often times in groups we say that other people are doing our emotional work for us and we grow simply by witnessing their work. This can really move individuals ahead in their own growth, just by being a part of the group.
We also know groups create a healing environment and just being a part of that is healing to each of the participants. Groups continue to bring out different dynamics than emerge in individual therapy because sometimes we're hurt in group or community settings. The best place to be healed from that is in a supportive group of other people who are also committed personal growth and healing guided by skilled facilitators.
We have groups that run throughout the year and are ongoing and groups that meet for a specified length of time. Currently our two most prominent groups are an outdoor eco-therapy group that meets on Saturdays for the month of April and a men's group that needs ongoing that opens up for new participants a couple times a year. We will be starting a few new groups in the coming year, so keep posted for that.

Full Life Men's Group
Gatherings nurture the connections, creativity, and changes needed to transform wounds that often happen in groups of men. Developing our strength and courage, so that we own all our feelings and vulnerabilities, takes effort and the right set of circumstances. And sharing among men is healing, in and of itself.
