“Sarah Teets provides a very safe space in her garden therapy sessions to help people work through life’s challenges. With her innate gentle approach, she offers participants a chance to embrace the power of Nature’s healing properties through simple gardening tasks such as deheading flowers and pulling weeds. She also provides gardening equipment (my favorite is the Hori Hori, a Japanese gardening tool that looks like a curved knife) to further empower participants to work with the dirt. In so doing, I found joy in a typically unenjoyable activity (who likes weeds after all?). This clever “task inversion” taught me that we have choices in how we see things and with the right tools we can indeed overcome the greatest of obstacles. Sarah is a fabulous listener and a very effective guide. I highly recommend her work to help rediscover the joy of life.”

“Hunter was an amazing supervisor. He was always supportive when I needed help and provided sound guidance. I grew so much as a counselor under his direction. I would highly recommend him to help any resident looking to get licensed. He is honest, kind, and extremely knowledgeable.”
