Paige Goodloe
Paige is a Resident in Counseling and the Intake Coordinator at Full Life PC under the supervision of Hunter Teets, MA LPC (VA license #0701005525). With a blend of Existential and person-centered orientations, she believes that all people have the capacity to change and heal when in a safe, encouraging environment. Oftentimes we feel anxious and or distressed when our actions don’t align with our core selves. By bringing our values to the surface, we can examine the choices available to us that give our lives a greater sense of meaning and purpose. The therapeutic space is one where clients can build courage to look inward and feel empowered by growing through difficulty. Paige's style of counseling is conversational and warm, often utilizing humor, perspective-taking, and focus on connecting authentically and non-judgmentally with our core selves.
Paige graduated with her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William & Mary, with a specialization in Addiction counseling. She has experience with high schoolers, college students, and community members to address the roots of substance use and other maladaptive patterns, operating from the belief that addiction and dysfunction are often a secondary symptoms to a primary wound. Clients are encouraged to examine the ways these old patterns and beliefs are keeping them stuck in the present and might no longer serve them as they did in the past. Throughout the therapy process, clients are empowered to trust their intuition, observe their emotional life non-judgmentally, and take back agency over their lives. Paige loves working with clients in all stages of the recovery process as well as those with depression, anxiety, trauma, and gender and sexuality concerns, and is committed to helping people live with dignity, freedom, and joy. She strives to provide services from a culturally humble lens and is dedicated to enacting principles of social justice in practice.
Paige believes therapy can be equally challenging and fun, and would be honored to walk beside you on your path to growth.
